Apple Bourbon BBQ Sauce
This is our favorite BBQ sauce! If you’ve never built a barbecue sauce around fresh apples, this is a good place to start. Sweet Gala apples cook down with ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to create a sauce that hits that perfect balance of sweet and tangy. A splash of bourbon adds depth, while garlic, ginger, and onion powder round everything out. After a quick simmer, it all gets blended smooth into a thick, glossy BBQ sauce with real apple flavor running through it. It’s simple to make and works great brushed on ribs, chicken, or piled onto a pulled pork sandwich!
